What Urban Champions Is

  • We are a training program that focuses on helping at-risk students/athletes who are academically ineligible, disengaged, and struggling, and have an interest in becoming“scholar-athletes.”
  • We work to increase a student’s capacity to learn.
  • We use neuroscience and social-emotional techniques to accelerate and optimize student learning and self-management.

What Urban Champions Is Not

  • a tutoring program.
  • a discipline program.
  • a school program.

Statistics show that students in urban areas have less access to higher education, and graduation levels are down.
